The Opportunity:

We’re embarking on an exciting journey into digital marketing and are seeking talented Content Writers to join us on this new endeavor of visual storytelling. As a small, self-driven startup, we are looking for team members who are motivated to grow with us and contribute to shaping our future.

Position Details:

Level: Mid/Junior Level Designer with 1-2 years of experience. Salary will be similar to this range. 

Compensation: Based on skills and prior education and experience

Employment Type: We are open to both full-time and freelance roles.

Work Location: This is currently a remote position. 

SKILL TEST:

GOAL: This test aims to evaluate your writing skills, creativity, ability to understand technical concepts, and capacity to create engaging content for a variety of audiences.

Task 1: Blog Post (700–1,000 words)

Topic: "How Immersive Technologies Are Transforming Business Communication"

  • Focus Areas:

    1. Explain how technologies like VR, AR, and XR are being used in business contexts (e.g., training, marketing, remote collaboration).

    2. Incorporate examples of real-world applications or case studies.

    3. Highlight the aesthetic and emotional impact of immersive storytelling.

  • Tone: Conversational but professional, suitable for a business audience with a mix of technical and non-technical readers.

  • Structure: Include clear headings, subheadings, and visuals (optional).

  • Requirement: Use at least two technical terms (e.g., "rendering pipeline," "spatial computing") and explain them in simple terms for a general audience.

  • Submission Format: Google Doc
     

Task 2: Technical Explainer (300–500 words)

Scenario: Imagine IOVR is launching a new VR experience for museums. Write a technical explainer for our website describing the technology behind the project in a way that both museum directors (non-technical audience) and developers (technical audience) can understand.

  • Focus Points:

    1. Explain the use of 3D modeling, game engines (e.g., Unity), and projection mapping in creating the experience.

    2. Highlight the technical aspects while making them accessible to non-technical readers.

    3. Ensure clarity and balance in technical depth.
      Submission Format: Google Doc
       

Task 3: Social Media Post

Prompt: Write a LinkedIn post (150–200 words) promoting a hypothetical IOVR workshop titled "Unlocking the Future: Immersive Storytelling for Creative Industries."

  • Key Information to Include:

    1. Date and time of the workshop

    2. Key benefits for participants

    3. A call to action (e.g., "Sign up now!")

  • Tone: Engaging and professional

  • Submission Format: Google Doc
     

Evaluation Criteria:

  1. Writing clarity and coherence.

  2. Creativity and originality.

  3. Ability to simplify technical concepts.

  4. Grammar and formatting.

  5. Tone consistency for the intended audience.

  6. Inclusion and proper citation of references where applicable
     

Deadline:

There is no fixed deadline. The position will remain open until we find a suitable candidate.
